1. What is this policy for?

At "Skill ToBe" ("we", "the site", "the platform"), we care about your privacy. This document explains, in plain language, what information we collect when you use the site, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how we protect it. For detailed information about how your personal data is processed under Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 ("KVKK"), please read our KVKK Privacy Notice.

2. Who is the data controller?

3. What information do we collect?

Account information: The name, email address, and password you provide when signing up (your password is stored encrypted; even we cannot see it).
Usage information: The questions you ask the avatar, your past conversations, your favorite/saved content — these are stored so the "My Library" feature works.
Camera and microphone: When you explicitly grant permission and use them, your camera footage and audio are used only to process your request at that moment. We do not record continuously or without permission.
Location information: Only collected if you grant permission and use a feature that requires location, such as travel/guidance features.
Technical information: Basic technical information needed to run the site properly and securely, such as which browser/device you use, which language you selected, and your IP address.

The platform is not designed to collect special categories of personal data such as health, religion, or political opinion. If you yourself share such information in the free-form content you type or say to the avatar, it is processed only to respond to your request. We recommend that you avoid sharing such information unnecessarily.

To give you accurate, personalized answers
To remember your account and history
To improve the site and keep it secure
To meet our legal obligations (when required)

5. Who do we share your information with?

We do not sell your information. We do not use the content of your conversations with the avatar for marketing or advertising purposes, and we do not share it with third parties for such purposes. We share information only with our service providers, to the extent necessary for the platform to work:

AI service provider: The messages you type or say to the avatar are sent to an AI language-model provider (currently DeepInfra, Inc. — United States) so that a reply can be generated for you.
Database and account infrastructure: Your account, session, and history are stored with a cloud infrastructure provider (Supabase). This infrastructure may be located on servers abroad.
Hosting: The hosting provider that serves the site's files can technically see connection information such as your IP address.
Browser speech recognition: When you use the microphone button, converting your speech to text is performed by your browser's own speech recognition service (for example, Google for Chrome); your browser sends your audio to that service. This is outside our control and subject to your browser provider's policy.
Fonts: Some fonts used on the site may be loaded through Google Fonts; your IP address may be sent to Google when this happens.
With competent authorities when legally required (such as a court order).
With your explicit consent.

Because some of these providers are located abroad, your data may be transferred abroad. See the KVKK Privacy Notice for details.

6. Cookies and local storage

The site does not use advertising, tracking, or analytics cookies. To run the site, we use your browser's local storage (localStorage) and session information: settings such as your selected language, theme, and some preferences, and the technical information that keeps you signed in, are stored there. These are strictly necessary for the site to work. You can clear site data in your browser settings at any time; if you do, you will be signed out and your preferences will be reset.

7. Being mindful of third parties when using your camera/microphone

When using your camera or microphone, please be careful not to include other people's image or voice recordings without their consent. You should not share other people's personal data through the platform without authorization to represent them.

8. How long do we retain your data?

We retain the information necessary to provide the service for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your data is also deleted or anonymized unless we are legally required to retain it.

9. What are your rights?

Under Article 11 of KVKK, you may apply to the data controller to:

Learn whether your personal data is processed and request information about it,
Learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used accordingly,
Know the third parties, in Türkiye or abroad, to whom your data is transferred,
Request correction if it is incomplete or inaccurate,
Request deletion or destruction under the conditions set by law, and request that these actions be notified to third parties to whom data was transferred,
Object to a result against you arising from analysis of your data exclusively by automated systems,
Claim compensation if you suffer damage due to unlawful processing.

You also have the right to close your account at any time. If you reside in the European Union (GDPR) or California (CCPA), you may have additional rights recognized by your region's data protection laws. You can send your requests to destek@skilltobe.net or to the postal address above. Your request will be concluded within 30 days at the latest. See the KVKK Privacy Notice for details.

10. Children's privacy

The site includes special protections for users under 18. During sign-up, users are asked to check a box declaring "I am 18 years of age or older." This is a self-declaration; no additional identity verification is performed. If an account is found to belong to a person under 18, that account may be suspended or closed.

11. Can this policy change?

Yes, we may update it from time to time. We will inform you of significant changes. You can check the "Last updated" date at the top of the page to see the most recent version.
